Montréal, May 3, 2023 – HUB Montréal continues its commitment to showcasing local creative companies through this year’s rich and diverse program. The first official speaker of this seventh edition will be Martin Tremblay, President and CEO of Solotech, an undisputed personality in the world of business, innovation and digital creativity.
The event will take place at OASIS Immersion and at the Palais des Congrès de Montréal, in addition to various emblematic locations of the digital community in Montréal. HUB Montréal participants can get their tickets beginning today on the event’s website starting at $120 + tax for a Silver package (rate valid until June 1st). With the objective of discussing current trends and issues in the digital creativity industry, the theme of this year is Circulation(s), catalyzing innovation.
“This year, we want to demonstrate the importance of the circulation of knowledge, ideas, expertise and resources to promote new digital and innovative initiatives that foster the creation of unique experiences,” says Rachel Parent, HUB Montréal’s program manager. “Through this theme, we are highlighting the strength of an ecosystem, its network and interactions in order to multiply the opportunities for outreach. I’m particularly proud of this theme because it is in line with HUB Montréal’s DNA: exchanging and building relationships with professionals from around the world,” adds Sébastien Nasra, founder and executive director.
To embody this theme, Martin Tremblay, President and CEO of Solotech, is pleased to join the list of speakers. Attendees will learn how the renowned audiovisual company has transformed itself into a world-class digital creator. As a visionary entrepreneur, Martin Tremblay will share his strategic vision and tactics to make Solotech the only AV consolidator that puts technology at the heart of its vision.
Finally, HUB Montréal is thrilled to announce its partnership with the School of Art Digital Storytelling Lab (DSL) at Columbia University. As part of their Digital Dozen program, a special award was given to Dreamachine, a revolutionary interactive experience that explores the mysteries of sleep to stimulate participants. The event will feature Jennifer Crook, director of Dreamachine, and Lance Weiler, founding member and director of the School of Art Digital Storytelling Lab at Columbia University, involved in a workshop sharing their visions on storytelling, accompanied by several key players in the industry.
