Montreal, August 27, 2024 – HUB Montreal, the international marketplace for digital creativity and first leading business accelerator for the creative industries in Canada, in collaboration with National Bank, is pleased to announce the appointment of Olivier Gagnon as Head of International Development. He succeeds Marie Côté who, over the past eight years, has built strong, strategic relationships in international development for HUB Montreal.
With solid experience as a Business Development Director and Sales Team Manager, Olivier has worked for many years in the cultural and creative industries. After a stint at M&H in business development and at Studio Iregular as Director of Development and Global Partnerships, Olivier continues his career as a strategic development consultant for creative industries. His expertise in the field and his skills in developing international business strategies as well as his extensive network in the industry will be undeniable assets to ensure the growth and success of this 8th edition of HUB Montreal.
“I am very happy and honored to join HUB Montreal and continue the work started by Marie and her team in recent years! I will do everything I can to ensure this momentum and crown this 8th edition with success in terms of international development,” adds Olivier Gagnon, Head of International Development at HUB Montreal.
“We are very pleased to welcome Olivier to the team. His expertise in business development within the creative industries will allow him to continue recruiting international guests for this 8th edition of HUB Montreal, already well underway by Marie and her team!” said Rachel Parent, Co-Executive Director of HUB Montreal. “Furthermore, I am very pleased that Marie has agreed to continue her strategic involvement to ensure the success and sustainability of the event.” added Rachel Parent.
After eight years alongside HUB Montreal, as Associate Producer and Head of International Development, Marie Côté will continue to support the organization with the presidency of the International Advisory Committee as well as the Innovation and Technology Committee.
“I am pleased to continue my collaboration with HUB Montreal as President of these committees. Since the very first edition in 2017, I have had the chance to see this event grow on the local and international scene and to forge strong relationships with various players in the creative industries sector. Today, I would like to make greater use of my expertise in support and strategic advice to contribute to the positioning and influence of the event,” said Marie Côté, President of the HUB Montreal committees. “I would also like to thank Rachel Parent for her recognition with this role retained within the organization and I congratulate Olivier for taking over the international development of HUB Montreal,” added Marie Côté.
