Jonathan Masterson
My experience working as a sound engineer and music producer in renowned studios in France and Canada led me to integrating multimedia into my creative technology practice and art installations.
I first started implementing complex media-servers rigs while working at Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, focusing on video mapping and synchronising visuals to music and movement.
My journey into creative coding, live vfx and real time rendered interactive multimedia starts on theatre stages, where I found creative solutions to integrating video projection, cameras, motion capture, sensors, encoders and trackers in various narrative contexts.
I am always on the forefront of integrating new technology. I now specialise in cluster rendered, game engine based, digital content creation.
Co-founder of a virtual production xR studio in Paris, I developed a robust framework for seamlessly rendering 3D scenes on LED sets using position data from motion controlled cameras, trackers and lighting fixtures.
My work is most often applied to Cinema, Immersive art installations, brand activations and live performances.
